This workshop will focus on inclusive language for internal communications within the workplace around the topics of LGBTQIA+, gender, and body issues.
We will look at some general trends in English as a whole towards inclusivity, and at some of the principles underlying the choice of language that creates inclusivity. The workshop will be interactive in which participation and discussion will be necessary. Please bring your questions!
The workshop is powered by British Council and it will be in English only.

Jaime Lilley is from Los Angeles, California, and has been teaching English in Prague for 17 years and is also a Cambridge CELTA and DELTA teacher training tutor. Her longstanding interest in EDI comes from growing up in a diverse society, being the mother of a queer son, and seeing firsthand how inclusive language can lead, over time, to inclusive thinking.
