Queer health: Research report on the health of LGBTQ+ people in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (2023)
This research report summarises the results of a robust survey of the health of LGBTQ+ people in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which took place in the summer of 2023. The aim of the project is to provide sufficient quality information for the development of public health and psychological care for LGBTQ+ people. 3,300 people took part in the survey. The results of the report show, among other things, that 40% of the participants were at high to extreme risk of depression, and for several groups the figures exceeded 50%.
Queer Health is a project with short and long-term goals. Among the short-term ones is this year’s questionnaire survey, which mapped the mental and physical health of adult LGBTQ+ people in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The long-term goal of the project is to provide sufficient quality information for the development of public health and psychological care for LGBTQ+ people.
